How? Why?
I still struggle with accepting it. To know that there's somebody, Jesus, who gave up His life for me--someone who has done so much, said so much, thought, sinned so much. According to me, too much. When somebody wrongs me, it is SO hard to look past the wrong and reach out to them in love. Christ did it without even flinching or second guessing. As I sit and listen to the words of this song (I've had it on repeat for, oh...12 times now), I can hear His voice again. There's nothing on this planet that can convey the Love that Christ has for us in its entirety, but when He lets us in on a small glimpse, it is amazing.
You're my beloved, lover I'm yours
Death shall not part us, it's you I died for
For better or worse, forever we'll be
My love it unites us, and it binds you to Me
It's a mystery
It really is a mystery why God chose to send His child to save us. The last thing we deserved was that. This isn't meant to be some self righteous blabber, it's a legit mystery. For those who say that God is one of wrath, think again. "There is therefore no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus." If that isn't love, I don't know what is. For every hallelujah that leaves my lips, I sense You. I sense Your love. I sense eternal life. Thank you, Father.
I chose this song without images, because I want you, the reader, to focus on the words of this song. My prayer is that whoever listens hears God telling you of his amazing, unending, incredible, perfect love for you. If you've never heard it before, I truly hope that this is the first time you do.
