How amazing it is to find yourself at a loss or words because you're just so overwhelmed by God's love. Understanding that what you need is to just be still, and know that He is Lord. Since I last wrote in, a lot has come to my attention; a lot which needs to change and things in me which needed to die. This morning I just sat down with my Bible and opened it to Romans, desperately hoping to be comforted, calmed, something. I read chapter 5, something I've read a million time. In the silence and peace I was coming to find when I shut everything but God out, I felt God speak. The love that he poured out for us is demonstrated in His son, Christ Jesus--but at the same time He loved us enough to give us this amazing scripture that lets us spend time with Him through his word.
"Therefore, as one trespass led to condemnation for all men, so one act of righteousness leads to justification and life for all men."
By Adam's sin we all fell, but through Christ's death and resurrection we all gain something that is so amazing. Life. Something so incredible, that the amazing Father who gives us this incredible gift. There is nothing we can do that will make us right with God, ever. It's only through his Son that all, not just some, a select group, a sect, Catholic, Protestant, Baptist, Methodist, Wesleyan, Congregational, or whatever have become justified and have been washed clean from sin so that one day we may stand before our Lord and He will welcome us home.
Hearing God speak and feeling his love is so amazing. It's nothing I can describe in words. The closest I can come is the feeling when you're somewhere on a warm summer day and while the sun is still kind of peeking through the clouds it begins to rain and you just stand and lift your hands, embracing the complete and utter peace that's been given to our troubles and sinful souls by a merciful Savior.
"Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!" Psalm 46:10
