Fearless

What's it mean to be fearless for God? To me, it means a few things. First, the literal meaning. Having no fear for my Lord. “Praise be to the Lord, the God of Israel, because he has come and has redeemed his people. He has raised up a horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David (as he said through his holy prophets of long ago), salvation from our enemies and from the hand of all who hate us–to show mercy to our fathers and to remember his holy covenant, the oath he swore to our father Abraham: to rescue us from the hand of our enemies, and to enable us to serve him without fear"(Luke 1:68-75). We've been redeemed so that we are free from the arrows of persecution from our enemies.

Another thing that being fearless for God means to me is to sacrifice my life so that others may know Him. I know what I want to do with my life-the Lord spoke to me clearly in that. Once I'm finished with school, speaking out against oppression and persecution and working for the Lord to make sure his light is shown in the darkest parts of the world is calling me. I don't know what my future has in store for me, I don't need to know. I don't need to care, I don't need to worry, I don't need to stress. He's already there. In knowing that, walking through each day and then walking through the days in the future knowing one may be my last doesn't bother me. If my voice is loud and someone hears God speak, to God be the glory. This isn't some narcissistic, attention grabbing thing either; I know the plans that the Lord has for me, and because of that I'm fearless.

And now I'm fearless, with nothing left to hide. All the doubts of yesterday, Love has driven them away. And now I'm fearless, when I am by Your side. It's forever me and You, in this covenant of truth. You know I'm fearles...
